Right on the banks of the Bells River (a tributary of the St. Marys River), Sugar Pointe Estate has 2,500 feet of water frontage looking across at downtown St. Marys, a 3-acre fully-stocked and spring-fed lake, a 1,000-foot pier and boathouse, an irrigated and lighted horse pasture, and an amazing collection of old-growth trees and wildflowers.

Originally settled in the 1860s, this natural getaway has been transformed into one of the most remarkable private properties on the East Coast… with one extraordinary view!

The 2,500-square-foot party barn (known as the “Sugar Shack) was built in 2007. It’s the ultimate party spot with a full kitchen, two bathrooms, and a 500-foot outdoor (partially-shaded) deck overlooking a crystal-clear pond.

The 1,000-foot pier that extends out into the Bells River also has a 500-sq-ft boathouse, with a rooftop deck. It provides unparalleled views of the manatees, dolphins, and 50-ft high sand dunes just up the river.

Our door prize is a unique adventure for you and three of your friends to travel into the headwaters of our river with Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge. Destination: Ellicot’s Mound. In 1975, the American and Spanish governments negotiated that the 31st parallel would be the boundary line between their territories. Andrew Ellicot was commissioned to be the surveyor and he and his team set out to determine the headwaters of the St. Marys River. “When he (Ellicot) reached the great Okefenokee where the tannin-stained stream emerged uninterrupted and relatively strong, he declared that to be the true source of the St. Marys River” (Baker County Press). Ellicot made a mound to mark the spot of his declaration.
